Dear Shipmates,

Over the years, we have become accustomed to the passing of those who have served with us and have passed after enjoying a full life. No so common are those you have been taken from us before they have had the opportunity to enjoy life. I am truly saddened to have to report one such premature passing.

Keith Jordan Baldwin, age 24, passed away in Egelston Township, Michigan on October 28, 2014 as the result of a single-car accident.

Keith was born on June 19, 1990 in Muskegon, Michigan and graduated there from Oakridge High School. He left Michigan to serve his country in the United States Navy and was a member of MOMAU 8, a Naval Reserve Unit in Austin, Texas. Keith Baldwin achieved the rank of MN3 and had a promising career in the Navy and loved what he did.  In 2010 he married the former Katie Sanders and they were blessed with a little girl they name Kandace. Keith enjoyed boxing, being with his family, and was proud of his service to his country. He was a thrill seeker and a competitive individual. He will be deeply missed.

A recent issue of the passing of Don Parks didn't have a photo tribute to Don until now. We continue to wish sincere condolences to his widow, Pat Parks and thank her for the photo which is now included.

Rodney Maurice Fair was identified as the Mystery Mineman

Correct guesses came from: Mike Chvilicek, Beth Hudson and Bob Defrees. Two guesses were wrong but we won't disclose the names.

I thought we had you folks buffaloed with the last Mystery Minemen. Not so.

Let's see how you do on this MYSTERY MINEMAN.

Who is this MN3 and his lovely wife? Write me back.
