MILITARY HEALTH CONCERNS

Since many of our AOM members are in our senior years, health and medical issues are one of our major concerns. Military families often have unique problems that civilian counterparts don't experience.  With that in mind, the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) has authored a publication entitled: Making Your Healthcare Wishes Known Through an Advance Directive: Guide for Active Military and Military Beneficiaries. This article was co-authored by Marta Hoffman, wife of AOM Board Member, Tom Hoffman.  This is an important guide for all those concerned with these important health issues. A copy has been provided here to inform you of vital issues that need to be decided before "time runs out."  Click here for a copy.

TAPS CEREMONY

AOM members have experienced a difficult year with 14 mineman families reporting the passing of a loved one in 2013. The TAPS ceremony at the Whidbey reunion will ring the bell for at least 22 folks who have passed since last we met. deaths  I try to send out any death notifications that are reported to me in a timely manner so that, if possible, folks can attend viewings, wakes and funerals. Please report any passings to me AND to Bob Hart   mncrnh@roadrunner.com.
