LAST MINUTE REUNION DETAILS

Dear Shipmates,

In order to make this the best planned, best attended AOM reunion ever, there are a few last-minute details to cover. Hope to see y'all there!

-- The hotel conference room is ours for the weekend (early bird/BOD and  Membership meeting).  I have BOD meeting scheduled for 1000 Saturday  morning and the membership meeting at 1400.

-- Toby is negotiating with the Navy for a bus to transport us from the hotel to the O-Club with pickup Sunday at 1745.  If not available, we can use the hotel shuttle.

-- President Cleland has appointed Toby to MC the dinner meeting on Saturday evening.  UNODIR by your suggestions, a social with cash bar will begin 1800, call for seating at 1900 followed by welcome/ introductions/ pledge/ dinner prayer, dinner served at 1915.

-- After dinner (approx. 2000), will start with TAPS/Bell Ceremony (Derick), MNs of Year (Gary), Committee Reports (various), recognition of oldest and farthest traveling members, and then I will give "Honor Thyself" dissertation.  Head table now will seat Gary & wife, Derick and Tracey.

-- Gary, will line up the members who will give committee reports (or can provide info to me for delivery)?  Also, Derick will be bringing a freshly polished bell for the bell ceremony.

-- Toby will also have reunion info brochures for handout at front desk and Early Bird (start 1500 Friday), also charts of NAS Whidbey for members driving personal/rental cars to dinner/picnic events.

-- Please advise of any changes so I can edit brochure before printing. Also, any security list info requirements to board the base must be in Toby's hands by October 3rd.

-- Toby has arranged for an additional Saturday morning event for the ladies.  There will be a "Deception Pass Bridge Bungee Jumping Contest" for the ladies starting at 1030.  Every contestant is guaranteed a prize." There will be a booth sponsored by All State offering one-day insurance policies. Don't forget to sign the release forms at the booth on the bridge.

-- So that the men won't feel left out, there will a swimming competition from the ferry dock at Clinton to the other side at Mulkilteo and back. Attractive prizes will be awarded to all survivors.
